Since we started using VHS cases to package our G10 knives, we have rotated them out semi-annually as well featured exclusive artwork for our limited releases. Each sleeve has its own made-up movie (or mixtape) with artwork and synopsis. Black Triangle 1-5 were based around the aesthetics of the 1980s.
Coming into our 7th year as a company, we have started making small changes to the branding to reflect the 90s. The 80s are still a great decade for pop/subculture, but its time for Black Triangle to grow up a little.
Our first obvious changeover is our VHS sleeves. This time around we have created a fictitious mom & pop video rental store called "Triangle Video". We aim to strike the nostalgia of the days where you and your family would rent a movie/video game, order a pizza and hang out on a Friday night. In addition to the knife and the case, each comes with a Triangle Video membership card that is really a sticker. Artwork, as always, was created by FVTVREWAVE.
Limited releases will continue to have their own unique artwork, but Triangle Video will be a mainstay for the foreseeable future. We hope you enjoy the new artwork as much as we do. Let us know what you think in the comments.
